On June 17th, 2024, SFU Vienna hosted another impactful session in its #outofthebox workshop series, titled “LGBTIQ+ Minority Stress as a Relational Trauma through the Lenses of Gestalt-Integrative Therapy.” The workshop was led by clinical psychologist Iva Žegura (University Psychiatric Hospital Vrapče, Zagreb).
This interactive workshop offered participants a profound experiential insight into the challenges faced by LGBTIQ+ individuals. Through gestalt-integrative approaches, Žegura explored how minority stress impacts identity formation and mental health. Attendees actively participated in discussions and experiential exercises, gaining a deeper understanding of the topic.
