SFU mourns the loss of former Federal Chancellor Dr Brigitte Bierlein.
Brigitte Bierlein had been an external lecturer at the Faculty of Law at SFU since the winter semester 2021/2022. She was known for vividly explaining Austrian constitutional law to students using the case law of the Constitutional Court, for which she has been jointly responsible for many years.
Brigitte Bierlein was an outstanding lawyer and committed teacher who willingly supervised seminar papers and final theses and was a professional role model for students and graduates. For the faculty, she was a competent, unpretentious and helpful contact person and advisor.
We will miss her very much.
