The manifold shapes of psycho-bio-social impediment; explanation of the most frequent syndromes regarding to their demarcation and developmental factors: depression, addiction, personality disorder, and anxiety.

In this seminar students have to reflect on the experiences made during the practicum (clinical placement) from the viewpoint of the modality they have chosen for their psychotherapeutic training. Students write reports on their activities and impressions of the institution. Group discussions of these experiences enhance the observation skills, i.e. skills of differentiation between outer influences and inner reactions. This is important for gaining competencies in the profession as a psychotherapist.

The method-specific training requirements encompass the clinical placement in the healthcare or social environments à 550 hrs (including a minimum of 150 hrs in the clinical/psychiatric environment); then, 630 hrs attendance in a chosen psychotherapeutic practice.

Students have to submit a thesis produced independently and without outside assistance.

This exam is oral and contains two parts; the first part refers to the bachelor’s thesis and the second part refers to a topic chosen from the respective examination list.
